Mind My Health are highly experienced mental health professionals who have worked for many years with children and young people and adults.  We have the skills to offer a wide range of psychological theories and techniques to help you overcome your difficulties.  We are passionate about ensuring that people who seek our help feel safe and secure to talk about the things that are troubling them.  The Mind My Health Team is trained to an exceptionally high level to understand the ways that biological, psychological and social factors influence how individuals think, feel and behave. Mind My Health aim to provide the skills that enable you to understand yourself better and empower you to make the changes that you feel are appropriate.

 

We are regulated by our professional bodies and ensure that we keep up-to-date with national best practice guidelines. Dr Lipsey’s work has been published and quoted in a number of articles.

Psychology in the Workplace

 

There are many situations at work that can have a psychological impact, including:

  • Being involved in or witnessing a distressing and/or damaging accident

  • Prolonged pressure from employers which results in you feeling the pressure to work harder or for longer hours

  • Significant changes to your role that you did not want or ask for

  • There can also be issues in your home life that are affecting your work

 

Mind My Health has links with many Employee Assistance Programmes which offer you support through Human Resources and Occupational health channels.

Mind My Health also offers individual and team-based career and leadership coaching.

 

Psychologist
Psychological Rehabilitation

 

Mind My Health can provide medico-legal reports for solicitors for psychological injuries following industrial accidents, road traffic accidents, assaults or other incidents with traumatic consequences. Mind My Health specialises in providing trauma-based therapy for people who have had a traumatic experience and these referrals often come through solicitors.

 

Mind My Health also has links with several well established legal firms, which will act on your behalf in claiming compensation for personal injury.  These firms may contact Mind My Health on your behalf or will give you information about the service so you can make a self-referral.  If you feel that you would like to see any of the Mind My Health Team consult with to your solicitor or contact us to discuss on how to proceed.

Psychology in Sport

 

Dr Lipsey has worked as a Fitness Instructor for 22 years and teaches numerous fitness classes on a weekly basis. She is also involved in sport as a Clinical Psychologist as she consults to various sporting organisations and supports athletes before and after major sporting events.

 

If you are an elite athlete supported by Sportscotland Institute of Sport please ask your Performance Director / Coach / Doctor / Support staff to contact us on your behalf. 

 

If you are an either a professional sports person, amateur sports person or enthusiastic about your sport and feel you need psychological support, please contact us directly.  Some sport bodies may have access to funding that will support you in seeking our help.
